“Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire”
The South Georgia Provisional Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church hosted the historic convening Annual Conference on July 27-29th at Epworth By The Sea.
The theme of the conference was “Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire”. A fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, as recently witnessed at Asbury, is spreading across the country and world — inspiring Churches and families to turn to the Lord and seek a fresh life of power and holiness in Jesus. This first Annual Conference lead to a mighty move of the Holy Spirit, bringing a powerful refreshing of the church in South Georgia and beyond which will inaugurate this new connection and the mission of God’s church.

Bishop Scott Jones
GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT OF THE GMC, AUTHOR
Bishop Jones currently serves as one of two active Bishops of the Global Methodist Church. He was most recently Bishop of the Texas Annual Conference, having previously led the Great Plains and Kansas episcopal areas. Prior to his 18 years as bishop, he pastored local churches in the North Texas Annual Conference and was a faculty member at Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology (Dallas, Texas).
A prolific author, Jones has written numerous articles and published several books. His most recent titles are Scripture and the Wesleyan Way: A Bible Study on Real Christianity (2018), The Once and Future Wesleyan Movement (2016), Ask: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age (2014), and The Wesleyan Way: A Faith that Matters (2014). Earlier books include The Evangelistic Love of God and Neighbor: A Theology of Discipleship and Witness (2003), and United Methodist Doctrine: The Extreme Center (2002), all from Abingdon Press.

Rev. Dr. Carolyn Moore
LEAD PASTOR, AUTHOR, PAST WCA CHAIR
Carolyn Moore has practiced as an ordained pastor since 1998, and is the founding and lead pastor of Mosaic Church in Evans, Georgia. She is the author of several Bible studies (Supernatural, Encounter The Father, Encounter Jesus, and Encounter the Spirit), and two books (When Women Lead, and The 19: Questions to Kindle a Wesleyan Spirit).
As a founding member of the Wesleyan Covenant Association (serving as both Chair and Vice-chair), she has been deeply involved with the formation of the Global Methodist Church. Carolyn and her son-in-law co-host a podcast called The Art of Holiness, bringing conversations about supernatural ministry, practical holiness and intergenerational encouragement into the church. She is happily married to Steve Moore, a retired high school history teacher and together they have one daughter and a ridiculously cute granddaughter.

Dr. David Watson
ACADEMIC DEAN, PROFESSOR, AUTHOR
David F. Watson is Academic Dean and Professor of New Testament at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He has authored or edited a number of publications, including Key United Methodist Beliefs (with William J. Abraham), Wesley, Wesleyans, and Reading Bible as Scripture (edited with Joel B. Green) and has written articles for a variety of publications, ranging from the Journal of Biblical Literature to Weavings to Good News. His most recent book is Scripture and the Life of God: Why the Bible Matters Today More than Ever (Seedbed, 2017).
Watson serves as Lead Editor of Firebrand and blogs at www.davidfwatson.me, and he is one of the hosts of “Plain Truth: A Holy-Spirited Podcast.” David, his wife, Harriet, and their children attend Stillwater Church in Dayton, Ohio.

Rev. Dr. Tesia Mallory
DEAN OF THE CHAPEL, ADJUNCT PROFESOR
Tesia L. Mallory is the Dean of the Chapel and Adjunct Professor of Worship at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She is published in The Next Methodism: Theological, Social, and Mission Foundations for Global Methodism (Seedbed, 2022), The Faith Once Delivered: A Wesleyan Witness (John Wesley Institute, 2022), and a contributor to Our Great Redeemer’s Praise: A Hymnal for All God’s People (Seedbed, 2022).
Dr. Mallory is the worship leader for the Wesleyan renewal/evangelistic movement Spirit and Truth (www.spiritandtruth.life) as well as an elder in the Global Methodist Church.. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with her husband Jimmy and two sons Julian and Leland, travel, and play in her Modern-Folk band The Nautical Theme.
