Park Avenue Church

What are your experiences and areas of service that you believe will be valuable in your role as a General Conference delegate?

I have served as a lay person and on staff at Park Avenue Church. I have been involved with student ministry for over twenty years. I was the director of student ministries at Park Avenue for five years. In the next year I will be leading the confirmation class and helping with the confirmation retreat.

I was the chairman of the contemporary worship committee to research and determine if our church would benefit from having a contemporary service. With God guiding this committee and our church, this service has been going strong for over 15 years. I believe these experiences will prove beneficial to the work that God will do at General Conference.

Describe why you believe that God has potentially called you to serve as a General Conference delegate.

I believe that God is calling me to try something that I have never done before! In my quiet time I hear the words, “Trust Me”. I have learned through the mountains and valleys in my life to have the faith to believe. So I believe that God is calling me to try something new and to step out of my comfort zone. I believe that I am being called to serve as a delegate because I listen. I listen first and foremost to God and what His Will is to be done even when others may disagree.
